Another study noted the role of acupuncture in normalizing hypothyroidism-induced thyroid hormone imbalance and regulating the T helper Th1/Th2 imbalance, as well as stimulating the body’s antioxidant defense system. Additional research cited increased levels of thyroid hormones in people suffering from hypothyroidism, as well as reduced sensitivity to pain and stress, reduced inflammation, and increased blood circulation.
